A Shaligram shila is a fossilized ammonite or stone that is found in the banks or riverbed of Kali Gandaki,a tributary of Nepal’s Gandaki River.It is considered a form of Lord Vishnu in Hinduism.It is believed to bring good luck,roserity and blessings to those who worship it.

Kurma Shaligram-A Kurma shaligram is a stone that represents the second avatar of the Hindu God Vishnu.Kurma or the Tortoise.The shaligram is said to look like a Tortoise when viewed properly and it can vary in shape and size.
If Someone is unable to perform an elaborate puja of Shaligram Shila daily Then he or she may keep the Shila on a copper plate, wash it with water and aly a tilak of sandalwood paste, offer tulsi leaves and raw turmeric. Offer yellow flowers and yellow sweets to Vishnu shila continuously chanting with Om Namah Vagabate Vasudevaye Namah and Om Maha Lakshmaye Namah.
